Usually when I photograph a family session, we meet at a park to do so. This family told me about the stunning Japanese Red Maple tree that was in full bloom in their yard – and thankfully, we were able to coordinate schedules to do the session at their house in a matter of days. Beautiful family photographs can happen anywhere, but to have them take place at your home makes them all the more meaningful.
Though I’m primarily a children’s photographer, I enjoy family sessions because I believe in the purpose and intent behind them. I admire families that make the investment to capture their relationship and document their loved ones. It’s a commitment that takes some time and effort, but these boys will always have the photographic evidence to show how much they are adored.
This is possibly the most obedient dog I’ve ever met.
How lucky is this little boy? This John Deere fan was going to be celebrating his 4th birthday, so the family contacted a friend to see if we could use his tractor for the session. He agreed, and now this little guy will have some new artwork for his room!
