The Union Grove Kiwanis Club started its first Christmas Tree Sale last weekend, following the Thanksgiving holiday. My niece and children were more than happy to go check it out, sample the cookies, and warm up by the burn barrel.
You’d think that the children in his next picture were intent on finding the perfect Christmas tree. Really, they were searching for the bird’s nest rumored to be found in one.
If you’re still looking for the perfect tree, The Kiwanis Tree Lot will be open Thursday through Sunday of this week. The Racine Journal Times has a great article on it, with all of the information you might need. (All proceeds will go into the community through the Union Grove Kiwanis sponsored charities.)
“Christmas…the season for kindling, not merely the fire of hospitality in the hall, but the genial flame of charity in the heart.”
