Meet the M Family.
The parents and I were students at Valparaiso University together, and were reconnected through the wonders of Facebook. Little Miss A has recently been going through some medical treatments, and the family decided that there is no time like the present for a little family photography session.
I can’t even describe how much I loved being in this household for a few hours. The family gave me free reign to capture what I thought was important. We did a couple of posed family portraits, but my favorites are when they just hung out, played cards, and teased each other.
As much as I adore a beautiful family portrait with a scenic backdrop, I think simple moments captured in your own home are truly the most precious. The day-to-day life with mom, dad, and siblings needs to be appreciated for its own beauty.
And going back to how I adore a “beautiful family portrait with a scenic backdrop?”
This one will go down as one of my all-time favorites.
“Having a place to go – is a home. Having someone to love – is a family. Having both – is a blessing.” Donna Hedges
