My daughter just celebrated her 10th birthday, and I convinced her to come outside with me for a quick portrait in her dress and the mud boots that she lives in each spring. I love the result.
May she always feel this confident and strong.
When she was dismissed, she very happily ran to get her coat and her three year old brother wandered into the frame.
He tried climbing on the rock, but wasn’t feeling secure enough to stand – so he walked off to explore elsewhere.
The two other brothers raced to the rock. Guess who won?
These next two images are the definition of brotherhood to me. The defiant stance of the younger brother while the older is patting his head – and then they switch places – (very scientifically) measuring to see who is the tallest.
I love silhouettes because seeing their faces isn’t necessary to tell the story and imagine their emotions.
