Miss J kept me entertained while her new baby brother was being cared for by mom.
She was a good little hostess, looking out for her guest.
In-home sessions are my absolute favorite. These images tell a story that cannot be duplicated in a studio setting. Children are much more comfortable and relaxed and everything that’s special to you is documented.
And yet, we can still get a simple, beautiful headshot.
I shared the following image and these words on my Facebook page:
“This image is one of my very favorite kinds of photographs. At first glance, you see a (very sweet) child playing with her toys. But since I was there, I look at the image and smile remembering her concentration building the towering ice cream truck for her princess dolls. And her parents? Years later, they are going to look at this image and remember how many hours she spent playing with those dolls and her vivid imagination. They’ll smile as they see that little rocking chair now stored in the attic, and they’ll laugh remembering how often she danced in the kitchen wearing that fairy dress.
One image and all those memories. That’s the kind of photograph I want to take.”
