On this Mother’s Day, I wanted to take a moment and post some of my favorite mother and child photographs from the past year. My love of mother and child images is well documented here on the blog – and I just wanted to add a few more favorites.
There are times in your life when photographs of mothers and their children are expected – like that first year, when every experience is so new – and your heart is so incredibly full.
But by the time they are teenagers, the moments to capture are far less – which is why it is so important to take any chance that you have.
It doesn’t matter how you do it – whether you hire a professional or just hand your phone to someone else for a moment to snap a quick picture. The point is to do it. Make sure that there are images in which you exist to document your relationship with your child. They will be forever treasured – and a reminder of your love in years to come.
“I shall never forget my mother, for it was she who planted and nurtured the first seeds of good within me. She opened my heart to the impressions of nature; she awakened my understanding and extended my horizon, and her precepts exerted an everlasting influence upon the course of my life.” -Immanuel Kant
Happy Mother’s Day
